The Team

Adi Jahić- Writer/Director

The son of Bosnian refugees, Adi is a filmmaker known for ‘Things We Like’, which won awards at several film festivals and played in several theaters in the US and abroad. His work has been praised by the likes of Andrew Bujalski, Frank V. Ross, Michael Glover Smith, and more, calling him one of today’s exciting young filmmakers. As put by critics Brett Wright, Adi "focuses on the small details: tuning in to the tics and the hesitations, and what lurks beneath the characters' stammers and 'neverminds,'" and "shows an ambition to explore messy emotions while refusing to define his characters in any narrow fashion and accepts them, foibles and all."

For him, this project comes from a place of love for the great people working on it, and for the love of art and storytelling. After years of struggles in his journey as a filmmaker, it was the resilience and warmth of the people around me—people fighting their own battles—that kept him motivated. These people led to this film that reflects the complexities of life but also celebrates the resilience of the human spirit.

Andrew Logue is a producer and director, originally from Ireland, working out of New York and Boston. Max Tanzer- Cinematography

Max Tanzer is a NYC based independent cinematographer and filmmaker. Originally from New Hampshire, Max developed a love for storytelling and the art of filmmaking while making shorts in high school. Since then, Max has been trying to perfect his craft, or at least try, to create memorable and honest images, whether it be for narrative, doc or music related projects and films.

As a production designer, she works on stories that feel like “a slice of life,” portraying human condition, presenting characters in a authentic light. Her previous work has been described as innovative and immersive.

Noël Prophet- Actor, Composer

Noël began acting at the former Berkshire Public Theater in Pittsfield, MA. At a young age, he was taking on leading roles in productions of ‘The Crucible’, ‘Burn This’, ‘Beirut’, ‘American Buffalo, Jesus Christ Superstar’, and the world premiere of a new adaptation of August Strindberg’s ‘Miss Julie’. A self-taught, life-long student of music, Noël founded and fronted the popular 90’s Massachusetts reggae-rock troupe, Dredi. This is his second feature with Adi Jahić, and he credits the filmmaker with inspiring him to compose the original score for the film. His most recent work includes roles in the short films Taper, and Critical Darlings.

Working on Thinking Habits has been a truly meaningful collaboration of talent, time, ingenuity, and humanity, with everyone involved dedicated to offering the best possible representation of this poignant story and witty script, and Noël has been tireless in his efforts to write the songs to match the film’s energy!

Emma Kuhlman- Actor, Producer

Emma Kuhlman is thrilled to be a part of the powerhouse team working on Thinking Habits For Emma, it took moving from LA to Boston to realize she loves the intimacy, accessibility, and collaboration film lends itself to. Pursuing her BFA at Boston University's School of Theatre in Acting, Emma geeks out about "choices" and "the craft" but, at the end of the day, she's in it to play! As her second Indie feature, Emma could not be more excited to share this piece, which explores the deeply human need to find meaningful connections
